Coming over the hill after leaving Coledale, the sight of Austinmer beach with its majestic Norfolk Pines, golden sand and busy cafe strip is a showstopper.It is one of the more popular beaches north of Wollongong. Back in the 1900s, tourists came by train to visit Austinmer and today it attracts large crowds in summer.

Moore Street has some interesting shops to browse and a visit to Asquith Street for Juanita’s Studio Gallery (ph 4267 1229) is a must to see fabulous exhibitions of painting, sculpture and ceramics by many talented artists.
